DIMENSIONES DE LA "IPSEIDAD" -FENOMENOLOGÍA Y TEORÍA DE LA ACCIÓN-

The central topic of this article is teh selfhood, and hece the question concerning the meaning of the "self", of the self-referential being. After claiming that the latter ought to be understood as a project within the time, two opposite stances are analyzed: a cognitivist one, who understands it as a "project of rationalization", and a phenomenological-hermeneutic one, describing it as a "craving for being". Accordin to the author, the selfhood is a process involving a productive opposition, or tension, between teh two mentioned dimensions. The concepts of "identity" and "autonomy" throw light on this thesis. In connection with the former, the selfhood shows the tension between "discursive" and "narrative" identity. If the second concept provides the starting point, then the selfhood evinces a tension between the logic of "rational self-determination" and the demands of the "maintenance of the self".Al tomar como tema la ipseidad, el artículo interroga por el sentido del "si mismo", del ser autorrefencial del yo. Tras intentar justificar, como punto de partida, que éste ha de ser entendido como un proyecto temporal, se analizan dos interpretaciones opuestas: uan de corte cognitivista, que lo comprende como "proyecto de racionalización"; otra de carácter fenomenológico-hermenéutico, que lo describe como "anhelo de ser". El autor defiende que la ipseidad es un proceso en el que se pone en juego una oposición productiva, o tensión, entre las dos dimensones destacadas. Esta tesis es aclarada a propósito de los conceptos de "identidad" y de "autonomía". En relacioón con el primero, la ipseidad aparece caracterizada por la tensión entre "identidad discursiva" e "identidad narrativa". Tomando el segundo como hilo conductor, la ipsidad se descubre atravesada por la tensión entre la lógica de la "autodeterminación racional" y las demandas del "mantenimiento de si"
